Life gets crazy and many of my friends know that I lost my grandma last May. She choked during dinner and though everyone tried so hard to save her it was just her time. The last card I made was the mother's day card I had sent her. It took a long time after her passing to pick up a stamp again because every time I thought about inking one up I'd get very sad. It's silly really because she loved my cards but I guess I just needed that time to heal. She saved every one of the cards I made her. I still miss her! Ok that's it for the sadness! I finally made another card (eh it's only been 10 months). I made this one for my mom. Tomorrow is her birthday. I know she'll love it.

ReplyDeleteMy DH's grandma saves all the cards we send her as well. So touching. What a tragic story...I am glad you inked up again. Great way to honor her memory because she obviously valued your work so much!
